Musée de la Photographie André Villers
Je photographie donc je marche !
-I photograph, therefore I walk!-

The museum’s permanent collection is centred round portraits of artists. Pablo Picasso, who lived in Mougins for over thirteen years, is the most represented face thanks to the images of photographers such as André Villars, Robert Doisneau, Jacques Henri Lartigue, David Douglas Duncan and Lucien Clergue.

This summer, The André Villers Photography Museum will present the works of Nicolas Frémiot whose approach is a performance designed to highlight all of the exhibition venues participating in this event. Walking is central to the work of Frémiot. Although he usually walks in the natural environment, here the urban and extra-urban environment is surveyed, taking in the art centres involved, as well as breaks and inspired pauses by the photographer!
