L’Atelier Expérimental
Vivre avec les oeuvres -Living with art-
The Experimental Studio established a residency program in 2002 to allow the centre, and the artists that came there, greater freedom of expression. Fostering a research environment, the centre encourages artists to take time to relax away from the “mediatized frenzy of the art world”. It also invites artists to engage in a dialogue with the village and to place research at the centre of their creative process. The artists therefore leave a trace or a legacy of their passage at the centre, be it notes or an actual piece of work. The artists who stay at the Experimental Studio are thus surrounded by research notes, artistic and philosophical musings as well as pieces of art.
Les oeuvres embarquées dans l’architecture
-Art and Architecture project-
The centre also focuses on the concept of combining art and architecture. Any architectural project should take space and the surrounding area into consideration. Obviously there are newer questions to be asked: How can a work invest the territory of the dwelling in accordance with the demands of the living space? This summer the Experimental Studio presents its permanent collection as well the models and drawings that form the basis of its Art and Architecture project.
