Hybridation, disparition, transformation
The Depardieu Gallery will present three monographic exhibitions of artists supported by the gallery from June 25th to the end of July 2011. The artists, Marcel Alocco, Jean-Pierre Giovanelli and Frédérique Nalbandian all of whom are concerned with the human body, especially its changes and transformations will be exhibited together before being exhibited separately, the work of each artist reflecting the other two.
Marcel Alocco Marcel Alocco exposes a collection of his works on sheets;
Draps de lit (Bedsheets) 1966,
Eve vierge sur détissé blanc (The Virgin Eve on unraveled white) 2010 and
Les Fragments du Patchwork (Patchwork Fragments) 1973.

The artist questions disappearance and the apocalypse in his work : Can disappearance be represented in art ? How can it be represented ? What does disappearance actually represent?
October 20th - November 10th 2011
Frédérique Nalbandian, Cerveau, 2010
Frédérique Nalbandian
Frédérique Nalbandian favours experimentation with the materials used to build the model, and its disappearance. Manipulating plaster, soap, water and whiteness, she creates sculptures and installations in progress, works in situ and designs reminiscent of the concepts of origin, life and time.
